For too long, India has been crippled by a dependence on expensive, restricted imports of specialized boron compounds like trialkylboron and boraxine, which are often subject to stringent global export controls due to their strategic defense applications. These reagents are largely supplied through global laboratory chemical consolidators, significantly inflating procurement costs and limiting access for Indian industry. We have broken this barrier.
By combining deep academic expertise from IIT Kharagpur with industry leadership, we have overcome the high technical barriers of complex boron chemistry and rapidly translated laboratory innovation into real-world impact. Led by top-tier expertise from IIT Kharagpur, Boronova has rapidly moved from lab-scale innovation to VSSC-ISRO validated samples in just three months.
By establishing a kilogram-scale R&D and scale-up facility, and actively engaging with pharmaceutical and specialty chemical industries, we are enabling scalable domestic supply of high-value boron reagents.
